The creator of THE ONE, Lacey Escabar is a former professional ballerina with the San Francisco Ballet company. Lacey, a Marin County native, received her classical training at Dance Theater 7 in Fairfax at the esteemed San Francisco Ballet School. In her graduating year as a trainee at SFBS, Lacey was awarded the first ever Richard Barker Scholarship award and was offered a company contract  by artistic director Helgi Tomasson shortly after. During her professional ballet career, Lacey performed in multiple U.S. and international tours which brought many new, innovative choreographic works to the world's stage. While dancing at the San Francisco Ballet, Lacey pursued a second career in film and television and eventually became a member of the Screen Actors Guild or SAG-AFTRA. Lacey Escabar has many years experience as a classical teacher/mentor in Marin County.
